Best of both worlds - help the community and win thousands of dollars. Community AI is seeking projects across the world, designed and developed by high and middle school students. These projects should try to solve problems related to community or the environment and use technology or AI to solve the problems. The fair is open to all high and middle school students who’ll solve a community or environment focused problem using technology. Underrepresented students will be given grants to pursue their projects. Top projects will be showcased on the website and also recognized with medals, monetary awards, scholarships/ prizes, and mentorship.
Eligibility
1. Open for students - 6th to 12th grades.
2. The project has to focus on solving a community or environmental problem.
3. The project should be a technology project. Use of AI is a plus, but not mandatory.

$4,450 in prizes
1st Place
1st Place $1000 cash prize and Community AI T-Shirt.
2nd Place
2nd Place $500 cash prize and Community AI T-Shirt.
3rd Place
3rd Place $250 cash prize and Community AI T-Shirt.
Finalist

There will be 10 finalists. The top 3 will get 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place cash prizes, and the remaining 7 will get $100 each and Community AI T-Shirt.
Scholarship / Grant for underrepresented students
A total of $2000 is allocated for scholarships/grants.
Any applicant who does not have the means and resources to complete the project may apply for a scholarship/grant. Please request your intent to apply by sending an email to team@thecommunityai.org and we'll guide you through the application process. Scholarship/Grant is available for US students only.
